Our History
Peter, the founder of Gold Star Jewellers, is a true pioneer in the jewellery industry. His journey began as a watchmaker and goldsmith in Montreal during the vibrant 1950s. As the years went by, his passion for gems and fine jewelry continued to flourish, eventually leading him to establish his very own store on Mont-Royal Ave in 1957.
However, life had more in store for Peter and his family. In 1978, they made the bold decision to relocate to beautiful British Columbia. Despite the move, Peter's deep-seated love for the jewellery industry remained unwavering. It was in 1981 that he finally opened a prestigious jewelry wholesale and retail division in Vancouver, marking another significant milestone in his career.
Peter's dedication to his craft was truly unmatched. Drawing upon his extensive training as a master goldsmith, he poured his heart and soul into every jewellery piece he created. With immense patience and an unwavering attention to detail, he went above and beyond to ensure that each piece was of the utmost perfection.
